A little while ago, I was asked to make a baby blanket for a friend who wanted a special gift for her niece. Together we chose the fabrics and one day, I showed her some ideas from Pinterest. From that little session, I designed this cute little rug based on her preferences - the sleepy bunny hanging over the top and a type of heart design. The bunny itself is a fleecy/minky fabric (which is also used as the backing) and it was appliqued on using a special applique bond specifically designed for stretch fabrics. The end result was that the bunny was nice, soft & flexible. To finish off the bunny, I taught myself some embroidery stitches (via YouTube). The bunny rug was much loved by my friend and her niece and the colours we chose perfectly matched the baby's room.
