As a long-time Francophile I fell in love with this pattern when I saw it at Stitches and Craft a couple of year's ago. The pattern -
Silhouettes - Ooh La La is a Heather's Designs pattern by Heather Buck from
The Bay Window Patchwork Designs. As quilters tend to do, I changed the pattern a little. The original used 9 colours in the blocks. I used the same 6 in each one (partly because I wanted to do a red, white and blue theme, and these were the only 6 fabrics I had in my stash which were the shades I wanted.) I also changed the placement of the silhouettes and the borders. The silhouettes look fantastic, but were a nightmare to cut out and blanket stitch around. Be prepared to be patient and take your time if you want to make this pattern. The quilting was a large stipple in a variegated blue and white thread.
