Crochet hook roll by Mandy

My many crochet hooks were either in the bottom of a draw or the bottom of the knitting/crochet bag and always difficult to find.  The solution was to make a roll to hold them.  I didn't have a pattern - got some inspiration from interest. I initially sewed two purple pieces of fabric together, with some pellon in between. I sewed a small pocket onto the green print piece and turned over a hem.  I then sewed this onto the outside (which I had turned the right way out and sewed up the turning gap). I then did a quilting over stitch on the green piece and took it to the top of the purple.  I varied the width between the quilted lines to allow for different size hooks. When I sewed the green inner casing onto the purple I sewed in 2 pieces of ribbon on one side. If I made another, I would sew the ribbon higher up the side.
