My version of Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh |
A favourite painting of mine which I had long wanted to turn into a quilt. Created with a mix of confetti work, applique and free motion machine quilting. I worked on a 10cm section at a time - spraying basting spray on the background fabric; placing the pieces of fabric one at a time to replicate the brush strokes and then free motion stitching over the top. It now graces the wall at work where I can gaze upon it when inspiration is needed.
Amazing, It's like I am standing in front of the original at MOMA
ReplyDeleteI reckon I'll have to try the diamond mosaic tiles kit to see how it compares😆😉
