Pigs in Mud Cake by Mandy

I decided to make my husband (and myself) a cake for our first anniversary last week. I think I used it slightly as an excuse to make this cake which I had seen being attempted (badly) on the Netflix show Nailed It. There are plenty of versions on Pinterest.  I used the LaineyBakes website for guidance.

The cake is a chocolate mud cake which I filled with fresh whipped cream and strawberries.  The pigs are made from fondant icing and are swimming in chocolate ganache, and of course the outside is KitKats.
